Sacred craft

Using materials gathered from nature or sourced sustainably, I create pieces through which to view and move through the world differently. Grinding ochre, making head-pieces, crocheting cloths to wrap around myself, I explore what it means to create with my materials and place. Ochre, copper and amber feature in my work as traditional materials used for thousands of years across Europe and the world.

Some of these pieces have been made as a part of the Braided River course and community, run by Carolyn Hillyer, a British Elder and Wisdom Keeper.
